The longest-running museum music program in the nation, the Gardner Museum’s concert series enters its 83rd consecutive season this September. Concerts are held in the museum’s intimate and atmospheric Tapestry Room gallery and feature performances by the museum’s own Gardner Chamber Orchestra, world-renowned chamber music groups and soloists, and some of today's most talented emerging artists.

Under the direction of Scott Nickrenz, the Sunday Concert Series and Young Artists Showcase concerts fill the Gardner with music nearly every Sunday afternoon from September through May.
The museum also hosts jazz and new music concerts in the Jazz at the Gardner and Avant Gardner series on select Thursday evenings as part of Gardner After Hours.

Since 2006, the Gardner’s free classical podcast The Concert has attracted an international audience for its high-caliber programs of music recorded live in the Tapestry Room. In addition, the museum’s extensive online music library offers a great way to get a taste of the concert series, enjoy favorite performances from years past, or preview some of the upcoming season’s artists.

For more information, join our email list, or request a print brochure by contacting the Music Department at concerts@isgm.org.   Come enjoy an afternoon or evening of music in the museum and discover what makes the Gardner "an invaluable chamber music destination" (The Boston Globe).
